Reporting
Clinicians rely on accurate and consistent diagnostic and staging information reported by pathologists for treatment recommendations. Once the pathologist performs image analysis on the whole slide image, the quantitative results can be exported seamlessly into a report along with representative fields of view. Pathologists no longer need to take snapshots with a camera and insert them manually into a report.
Reports can be customized to reflect the scoring criteria of the particular lab. Reports can include logos, diagrams, images and analysis results. These reports can be linked to laboratory information systems. When a case is opened, all patient, specimen and slide information, including gross images, related radiology images and assay controls, are integrated and available.
Clinicians with access to the system can get the pathology reports as soon as they are signed out by the pathologist, enabling quicker access to desired information and improved communication for appropriate patient management.
Digital pathology helps pathologists produce a report with information that is accurate, timely, concise and useful. It offers pathologists the ability to provide more accurate and reproducible diagnosis. In addition to pathology reports, links to radiology reports, the patient’s electronic medical record, and lab data help provide the best of care.
