Dr. Sanford Barsky
|
Dr. Sanford Barsky is a widely known expert in the molecular biology of inflammatory breast cancer and mechanisms of metastasis of other cancers, including breast, prostate, lung and melanoma. According to his peers he is one of the brightest minds in the fields of anatomic pathology and cancer biology. Dr Barsky is a board certified pathologist in anatomic and clinical pathology, a nationally recognized anatomic pathologist with over 25 years of pathology and cancer biology experience. He has been honored with the George N. Papanicolaou Endowed Chair of Pathology at UCLA. He has published more than 250 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He holds several honorary memberships in different societies around the country, including the National Institute of Health.

Douglas
Sweet

Douglas has over 30 years experience
in the field of pathology. He was responsible for sales and
marketing management at diagnostics companies such as DAKO,
BioPath and Ventana Medical Systems. He has held senior positions
in sales and marketing at Molecular Devices, Syva (diagnostic
division of Syntex), New England Nuclear and Corning Medical.
He is an advisor to several private entrepreneurial companies
seeking entry in the diagnostics market with products resulting
from the Human Genome Project. Douglas holds a BS in Biology
from the University of Oregon and an MBA from the Presidential/Key
Executive program at Pepperdine University.

Ron Zimmerman
|
Ron is an active life science investor
in Houston, Texas since forming MediGen Group in 2001. He is
a founding investor and CEO of PLx Pharma and is also involved
with Nanospectra Bioscience, Cancer Genetics, InterPath Pharmaceuticals
and other ventures. Ron has over 30 years experience as an
executive in a variety of international firms with varied corporate
cultures and geographies including: managing regional offices
for Deutsche Bank and Robert Fleming, spearheading new opportunities
such as Chase Manhattan Bank's former Soviet Union energy effort,
leading a workout or turnaround effort such as with Harrods
Energy and managing a closely held E&P Company, TLO Energy.
He is also on the Advisory Board of Energy Spectrum, a Dallas,
Texas private equity firm with over $700 million under management
and a boutique energy investment bank.

Robert
E. Dunkle
|
Robert, the former President and CEO
of Scimagix, has over 20 years of experience in general management,
business development and marketing strategy in process monitoring
and control, bioinformatics and cheminformatics. Robert joined
Scimagix from the National Center for Genome Resources where
he developed a mission and strategic plan for the bioinformatics
and computational biology products provider. Formerly, Robert
was the vice president at MDL Information Systems, Inc., managing
the successful penetration of the company’s ISIS™ cheminformatics
software platform. He played an integral role in increasing
the company’s valuation prior to its acquisition by Reed
Elsevier in 1997. He has also been the vice president at Sierra
Monitor, a start-up software and instrumentation provider.

Padmashree
Ms. Lila Poonawalla
|
Ms. Poonawalla is the Chairperson at
DeLaval Pvt. Ltd. and Filarozil Exports Pvt. Ltd. She is also
on the Board of Bank of Maharashtra, Beeyu Overseas, and Neilsoft
Ltd. She is the former Chairperson of Tetra Pak India Ltd.
Presently she works as a corporate advisor to KPIT Systems,
Acceltree, Softspin Services Pvt Ltd & DSS Infotech Pvt.
Ltd. She is the first lady mechanical engineer from Pune University.
She joined Alfa Laval as an apprentice in 1967, became the
Managing Director in 1986 and Chairman and Managing Director
in 1989. She has attended management-training programs at IIM
Ahmedabad and Sweden, Marketing management programs in Harvard
University, and senior executive program in Stanford University.
Lila has a vast experience of working in international markets.
She was appointed as a ‘Member of the Scientific Advisory
Committee to the Cabinet’, by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the
President of India, and the then scientific advisor to the
Prime Minister.

Dr. Roger
Hajjar
|
Dr. Hajjar is the founder and CTO of
Spudnik Inc., a stealth-mode endeavor related to developing
complex hardware systems. Prior to Spudnik, Dr. Hajjar was
the vice president of transmission subsystems development with
Avanex Corporation. He was chief technology officer and co-founder
of Versatile Optical Networks prior to its acquisition by Vitesse.
Dr. Hajjar has held management positions with TeraStor Corporation
and the Eastman Kodak Company. Dr. Hajjar has registered more
than 30 U.S. and worldwide patents and in addition, has a proven
record of success in product management from inception to high-volume,
turnkey manufacturing. Dr. Hajjar holds a Bachelor of Science
in Electrical Engineering from Boston University graduating
as Summa Cum Laude. He then earned a Masters of Science and
a Doctorate in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona,
with over a dozen publications. He has received four highly
distinguished fellowships and scholarships, including the prestigious
T. J Watson IBM Research Center Fellowship.
