BioImagene receives UL Certification for the iScan Slide Scanner

BioImagene, the

announced today that its iScan™ Slide Scanner has
received the prestigious Underwriter Laboratories (UL) Listing.
The UL Listing confirms that the iScan complies with the
UL standard for laboratory equipment, for use in health care
applications. The UL certification applies in both the US
and Canada.
The iScan is
the new, affordable desktop slide scanner from BioImagene
for digitizing whole tissue slides in a pathology laboratory.
It is fully automated and combines high speed scanning of
up to 160 slides with superior image quality up to 40x. It
is integrated with BioImagene’s digital pathology software
to provide pathologists and researchers with an easy, web-based
solution for viewing, managing, reporting, archiving and
sharing tissue images. The iScan Slide Scanner has already
received the CE mark for Europe.
