Crescendo

Digital Pathology Workstation

BioImagene’s Crescendo digital pathology workstation is a part of BioImagene’s Total Digital Pathology Solution and delivers an ideal diagnostic environment for the pathologist to practice digital pathology. Crescendo pulls data from silos of information such as the Laboratory Information System (LIS), radiology images, gross images, online references (e.g., PathXchange.org), and differential patient information, and displays them side-by-side with whole slide digital images to provide pathologists all the necessary information to arrive at an educated diagnosis.

The Crescendo workstation is configured with three integrated high resolution monitors, a high performance desktop computer, the iSlide™ integrated input device, and a web camera. Crescendo also incorporates all the features of the Virtuoso™ digital pathology application software and offers BioImagene’s Companion Algorithms™ to quantitatively assess various biomarkers. Crescendo also is built with a layer of software enhancements designed to take advantage of the workstation’s capabilities in order to boost the system’s performance and create a more efficient platform for the pathologist.

Crescendo helps pathologists experience the benefits of digital pathology including telepathology, image analysis, rich media reports, virtual tumor boards, and remote second opinions. With Crescendo’s integration of diagnostic information from all relevant sources, the pathologist has access to the most complete and accurate diagnostic picture for a patient. Crescendo is a modern-day companion for the pathologists, giving pathologists the tools to improve the quality of patient care.
